My work will be shown at: “NOT YOU” SELF PORTRAIT SHOW at mint gallery. Opening night is Saturday, January 16th, 2010, from 8-11pm, and the show runs until February 7th (684 John Wesley Dobbs Ave, Unit B - Atlanta)
Sneak Peek! For the NOT YOU Self-Portrait Show. This may possibly be one of my favorite art projects I have ever worked on!
It’s gonna be the best year ever! New on Etsy: Fancy-Tailed Goldfish and Umbrellas - 2010 Desk or Wall Calendar - just $9 (and FREE shipping!)
Here’s a peek at some of the art I have up at Inman Perk Coffee until the end of January 2010! They have a lot of brightly colored wall space which I think looks great with my designs! I hope you’re able to stop by in January to check out the show. Inman Perk Coffee is located at 240 North Highland Ave. Ste. H in Atlanta and they are open daily from 7am to 11pm.
So excited about this…I recently received a custom order for a full deck of Flower Cards, which is the Korean/Japanese card game i re-designed this last year. The original intent of my re-design was to print out playable cards, but I never got around to that part!
Since I had already done the designs for my woodblock prints, I just had to re-size and adjust some of them to fit into the 1.75” x 1.75” format. There are 48 different cards in the deck! I think they turned out beautifully, and I had them professionally printed (full color, offset) on 130# cover weight paper that is 100% recycled.
When I was a little girl, my Korean grandmother taught me how to play this game, and I had always admired the cards. In Korea the game is called “Hwa-tu” or “Go Stop” (in Japan, it is called “Hanafuda”).
